Lately I came by Dancing Petals SG, who is a certified florist based in Singapore.
Instead of being the usual florist you often see on web and street, they came out with a gifting idea "Gaia Collection" which providing you a more ethical and eco-friendly alternative for your floral purchases.
This collection brings to you a 2-in-1 approach to bouquet packaging. They combine the usual paper message card and plastic/paper flower wrapper into one simply solution, a fabric wrapping with you own heartfelt message inked onto it.
Through this approach we are heavily reducing the use of paper material in bouquet production.
Dancing Petals purposely use linen through this campaign as it is a material that is sustainable and eco-friendly. Due to its versatile nature, fresh flowers lifespan may now prolong because people are forced to unwrap the flowers to reveal the message. This increase the percentage for recipients to practice having to place flowers into vase which maximise the flowers' lifespan.
After revealing the message, everyone can use it as pouches, tote bags, pillowcase and many more. Other than keeping dried flowers and message card, now you got another special way to retain part of the gift.
