#Erikandreaweds Morning & Tea Ceremony
*Disclaimer: All the morning highlights images are original (non-edited copies), it is because editing from my bridal company require 3-4 months to complete and well I have no time to wait for them.
However, all the Night/Dinner images are edited as I engaged different photographers and they only took 2 weeks to edit and send to me. Till now I still don't understand why editing take 3-4 months, okay whatever I don't want to get angry with it anymore. *
Let's go, ✌️
We had two days of celebrations for our wedding unlike the usual couples, but everything went by so quickly and right now I kind of miss the fun. Planning and preparing for wedding took months and lots of research required before we can make our final decision and now I hope this post serve as a guide for your wedding too.
Make Up Artist: Vyan Wong Make Up Artist
I engaged Vyan for Morning & Dinner make up, she has one of the most reasonable and affordable quote compare to other MUA. She is extremely friendly and nice, super punctual and professional. All her makeup and hairstyle were totally up to standard,
Thank you Vyan!
Would highly recommend her for future make up too!
Most bride will always consider to get a bridal robe for AD as that is the way to prevent messing your makeup and hair when changing into your gown. I'm extremely fortunate to found Pwerkshop, they have one of the most beautiful embroidery satin robe!
Bride Robe: Pwerkshop
Vyan completed my makeup and hair way earlier therefore we have more time for family shoot! So, if you have plans for more shoots better engage MUA who is super punctual and professional.
And yes, if you are wondering where it seems like there is no bridesmaids and so.
You are right, we skip Gatecrash session as we do not want to trouble everyone to wake up early like us and be busy for the entire day.
After the couples had greet each other, we are to bow to the Heaven and the Earth & their ancestors before leaving house to inform of their marriage and ask for blessings.
As bride leaves her house, bride's father has to shelter her with a red umbrella.
This symbolize even if you are married, your father and family will always be your shelter for life.
Throwing a Chinese fan out of the window, it is believed that when one does this, she also throws out her ‘bad temper’ and other negative qualities so that the couple will have a happy and smooth marriage.
Back to groom's house,
The bride and the groom must have Tang Yuan on their wedding day.
It is because Chinese believe after the couple had the sweet and round Tang Yuan, their marriage life will become sweet and round too.
After eating, time to pay some respect to parents and siblings.
Tea should be served to their relatives in order of sequence, starting from their grandparents and ending with their younger siblings, as a sign of respect for their place in the family. Wedding tea ceremony is to show respect and gratitude to all parties.
Extremely thankful for husband family members who help out for the tea & food, hope you guys have good banquet dinner that night yeah!
With Chinese traditional, wedding couples are not supposed to turnback on that particular day, therefore changing a new outfit represent like a new day and we went back to my house for tea ceremony.
*And not forgetting, couples are not supposed to remove their shoes until the end of all our ceremonies*
welcome +1 into both families.
