Peaceful Weekend Brunch Cafe - Nook & Cranny

Upper Thomson/Marymount estate, the place that filled with lots of weekend brunch/coffee cafes. Back then, Upper Thomson used to be an inconvenience estate for cafehopping however with Circle line MRT everywhere is extremely convenience.

During our cafehopping Journey, we found Nook & Cranny at Thomson V One, about 10 minutes walk from Marymount MRT. They serve breakfast/lunch/dinner and coffee and have long tables to fit group gathering, I kind of love this.

As Nook & Cranny is located at Thomson V One Condo, it is generally much quieter and owner of Nook & Cranky aspire to a cafe where allow people to chill and do their work.

They serve wide range of drinks such as Coffee, Brewed Tea & Draft Beers, price range starts from SGD $3 - $16.50(Beer Range). The unique point is that Nook & Cranny offer speciality drink(Mystery Drink/Drink Of The Day) and customer will need to check with their staff daily to try this out.

Cafe Mocha, SGD$5

Smooth and good balance between coffee and chocolate. Slightly better at the end of the sip maybe because we leave the coffee for too long thus allowing the cocoa powder to sink and set at the side of the cup. So recommendation drink them while its hot.

Speciality Drink "Toasty" SGD $6

Toasty is something close to Smore Coffee with the recommendation of the staff. Just by knowing it is drinks that related to Smore, there is no reason for me to reject because the name already makes me look forward to it!

The taste is exactly like what the staff mentioned, Smore/Chocolate drink with bit of caffeine. It is extremely thick and creamy, it is that kind of comfort drink when you feel down! I kind of like it!

Truffled Mac & Cheese, SGD $14.50 Classic Mac & Cheese with Bacon & Ham drizzled with truffle oil.

Instastory worthy because the egg came runny however taste wise a little too salty, creamy and overwhelming truffle smell. The first few mouth of it taste pretty good but you got a little sick of it when you eat about 1/2 of it. Too creamy for my liking, but generous amount of truffle.

Chicken Bleu, SGD $15.50 Boneless chicken tight stuffed with Bacon & Cheese, served with fragrant Orzo Rice Pasta & Salad.

Chicken is very well. cooked, tender, juicy and well marinated for taste however a little burnt and overcook on the bottom layer. The entire wrap up chicken tight makes you feel full and fulfilling however rice pasta is not so well like by us because it feels a little empty. Overall is definitely a good dish and worth it.

In conclusion, I would visit again because I kind of like the atmosphere over at Nook & Cranny, pretty cozy and comfortable place with a cup of coffee and completing my work. I love this.
