The Vietnamese Restaurant In Singapore - So Pho
Speaking about exploring Vietnamese restaurant and food, how can we miss the signature Pho & Vietnamese drip coffee? Fatty just came back from Vietnam and he miss vietnamese food, there we go to explore it in Singapore.
One of the most common Vietnamese Restaurant in Singapore "So Pho", they have a total of 6 outlets in Singapore, North South East West, fully covered the entire Singapore.
Vietnamese Drip Coffee, SGD$3.80 (Hot)
Other than Brazil, Vietnam is the world's second largest exporter for coffee, Robusta is the traditional bean in their country and it is also twice as strong caffeine than usual beans.
Vietnamese love drip coffee as it makes the coffee to be very thick, the frequent way to enjoy this is with condensed milk and ice, it naturally maintains a strong taste and everything is condensed in this cup, even water. Loving strong coffee and this will definitely be the perfect choice of yours.
Pho Dac Biet, SGD $10.80 Pho Dac Biet basically refers to special combo regular size Pho, Pho Dac Biet inclusive of Sliced beef, Brisket, Beef balls and Noodle soup. The soup was pretty good and light, it is that kind of soup noodle that I would love when I fall sick. Meat & Meat ball are tender and well marinated for it, I think it worth the dollar.
Bun Cha Gio Ga Nuong, SGD $10.80 Fresh Noodle with Grilled lemongrass chicken and Fried Spring Roll, Lemongrass chicken and Fried Spring Roll are pretty well done in taste and marination. I love the sauce that goes along with this bowl of dry noodle, it will be perfect if there is more sauce for the noodles.
Banh Xeo, SGD $11.50 Vietnamese pancake with Minced Meat & Seafood, in central of Vietnam this is actually call "Happy Pancake" According to Fatty, Vietnam street food Banh Xeo is so much better as there s more fillings in the pancake however in Singapore base it is consider not bad but a little steep in pricing.
Cha Gio Dac Biet, SGD $6.20 Imperial Spring Roll that inclusive Minced Meat, Mushroom, Prawns. Extremely crispy and full, however it is too oily for our liking, probably not our kind of food.
Overall, the Vietnamese Drip Coffee, Pho & Dry Noodle taste pretty good, we would totally go back whenever we crave for it. Worth the try but pricing is generally a little higher, probably you can have it when you feel richer, Ahah. :P
