Cafe Melba On The East, Goodman Arts Centre

I found a pretty good chill place for weekend brunch but well it is not as convenience as the usual cafe. Cafe Melba is a relaxed cafe and restaurant concept by Tadcaster Hospitality, which blends influences from (Melb)ourne and (A)sia for a gourmet yet leisurely dining experience.

Cafe Melba offers indoor and outdoor siting area for guest, estimate to fit up to 120pax at one go. It is definitely a pretty good venue to enjoy a slow paced breakfast/brunch with friends and families.

Other than being the usual cafe, Cafe Melba also allow guest to plan and book private events such as birthday, baby shower and weddings. Just like during our visit, half of the cafe was booked for private baby's birthday event.

They offers a wide variation of food such as the popular Egg Benedict, Full Melba Breakfast, Smoked Bacon Burger, Club Sandwich, Carbonara Pasta, Customised Pizza and many more. Cafe Melba is a kids friendly environment where they have special kids menu and on certain days they do have kids corner for them to enjoy.

So well it seems like a great cafe to chill with your friends and your kids can have fun too, the best of both world. The only down side is it is not very convenience like the usual cafes, you probably have to take train/bus to reach that place. We ordered something simple during our visit, Croissant, Full Melba Breakfast, Strawberry Shortcake and Vanilla Latte.

Croissant SGD$2.80,

Extremely crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, croissant will never go wrong for breakfast right. If only croissant is not so fattening and high in calories I don't mind having them daily. *OPPS*

Full Melba Breakfast, SGD$25.00 Pork Sausage, Style of eggs, Bacon, Cherry tomatoes, Baked beans, Sautéed Mushrooms, Mini Vegetable Rosti & Toast. Taste wise is generally normal to what we expected however their pricing is higher than average. Personally opinion think not really very worth it, probably you can get desserts and coffee will be great.

Strawberry Shortcake, SGD$9.00

This is better than what I expected, it is so much lighter and less sweet than the usual shortcake I have outside. I kind of love this.

Happy Girl With Happy Dessert! A pretty good weekend chilling here, will be back for sure.
