Bangkok's Famous Pie Bakery - April’s Bakery Singapore

Many famous food have been moving into Singapore and just 2 months ago the Bangkok's Famous Pie Bakery came into Singapore. April's Bakery Singapore specialises in homemade bake pies, they have more than 60 outlets of it in Bangkok such as Terminal 21 & Siam Paragon.

April's Bakery opened her first store in Singapore at Tampines MRT on 11th April 2017, launching pies that remind me of old school chinese "Lao Po Bing (Wife Biscuit)", the major different is their have many unique/trendy flavours for their pies, so attractive to me!

They have 8 flavours for your to choose from, Coconut, Red Bean, Sesame, Sweet Potato, Green Tea, Thai Milk Tea, Custard & Taro.

Each pie is set at $2/each regardless of flavours and nicely packed into blue or green coloured boxes which owner brought from Thailand.

Many flavours was not available during my visit as it is during promotion period, buy 4 get 1 free therefore popular flavours are out of stock.

So we gotten Red Bean, Sesame, Coconut, Taro, Thai Milk Tea & Sweet Potato and we did a taste test for all the 6 flavours and I managed to find 2 of it which I love the most.

Personal Favourite: Red Bean & Taro Fatty's Favourite: Red Bean & Coconut

Both Fatty & I think that Red Bean taste really good, sweetness of the red bean paste is well maintained and you don't feel sick eating it. We love the old school feel when eating this, yummy!

As for Taro, the smell of it is really good and what surprise me that it is not as sweet as what I expected so well I kind of love it.

I am never a fan of coconut therefore I can't give comments for that, however Fatty mentioned that the Coconut pie is really good, you could taste bits/strips of coconut flesh, for $2 he thinks is worth it.

As all pies are freshly baked, no preservatives added, therefore keep them into the fridge for max 2 days and microwave it if you want to eat them warmly. It will be perfect to match them with a cup of hot tea, kind of good for tea gathering.
