The DBS Marina Regatta 2017
I believe everyone start June in a good way yeah?
Exactly last weekend 1st June - 4th June 2016, we had the most popular event going on, the Singapore's Biggest Bayfest "DBS Marina Regatta"! As we know DBS is always the organiser for the annual dragon boat race event, however this year it is even better and grand! There are loads of event and attractions prepared on land other than just dragon boat race, let's check out what they have prepared! This is their overview event mock up for 2017:
This year they partnered with electronic music festival Ultra, urban fitness brand lululemon, Bali’s beach club Potato Head and F&B curators The Local People. It is totally an eye opener event and definitely a great way to start the June holidays!
1. Battle Bay - Singapore’s largest inflatable water obstacle course
Spanning over 11,000 square feet, Battle Bay featured nine challenging obstacles to navigate including balance blocks, monkey bars, wall scaling, and rope swings. This totally remind me of "Wipeout" and it is super exciting to be watching this live!
2. BAY DOME – Singapore’s largest interactive art dome They have installed 2 majestic 7.5metre tall domes at the regatta which illustrates projection of Marina Bay Skyline, everyone get to customise their own characters and design the digital canvas!
3. BAY BEACH – Singapore’s only pop-up urban beach The Bay transformed into Singapore’s one and only pop- up urban beach, which will doubled in size from last year. Bali beach club Potato Head brought in their legendary Coconut Bar and complete with their signature uber fresh coconut cocktails and beers.
4. BAY EATS – Offerings from Singapore’s top young chefs
The food village "Bay Eats" featured food stalls from award-wining and new eateries in town such as Leng Leng Ice Cream, The BellJar, Neo-Sin, French Eatery Garcons and more.
5. PLAY DOME – Play in the day, party at night
During the day Play Dome hosted Lululemon workout classes which allow you to work out and keep fit.
When the night falls in, it will turn into the Ultra Countdown Party. The pre-parties featured Dubvision, Crossnaders, Raiden, Jade Rasif, Moe and Myrne, totally make you feel the feeling of "Work Hard & Play Hard"
