Chatterz All Day Dining Restaurant @ Hatten Hotel Meleka
Let's get back to exploring Malacca...
On the first day of the trip, we arrive in Malacca about 2/3pm, we spend the first few hours exploring the facilities of the hotel before we proceed for our first meal in the evening.
We spent most time in hotel area as it is really comfortable and nice, other than that Hatten Hotel have 2 restaurant, 1 cafe and good in-house dining menu, so generally you can just settle your meals within the zone, perfect place for lazy people like us.
After short discussion, we decided to have Seafood BBQ Buffet Dinner at Chatterz Restaurant, which is located at Level 11 of Hatten Hotel. Chatterz is actually an all day dining restaurant, they offers scrumptious selection of buffet choices and logical pricing A-la-carte menu for breakfast/lunch/dinner.
Chatterz All Day Dining Restaurant is extremely spacious and beautifully decorated with Jewel Sofa, Marble Table & Chandelier, which gives off a very luxury breakfast/lunch/dinner experience.
Seafood Buffet Dinner Food Line, there is approximately 10 Food line in the entire restaurant which consist of Salad Bar, Seafood, BBQ, Noodles, Ice-cream Bar & Desserts line. The buffet line food are replenish on time and seldom you will see the plate empty, this is definitely a plus point who is a big eater.
Fatty & I decided to try on different food and we combine our comments together. My first round of tasting, I grab a plate of salad, Ayam Fish Soup, Some dishes and rice.
Choice of vegetable for salad is same as what you see in normal buffet line, when you get to pick what you like to eat for salad, it will never go wrong.
Ayam Fish Soup was pretty good but fish is a little too bland despite soak in Ayam soup base, maybe you can pick other seafood to mix with this.
Chicken dishes on the buffet line taste are well marinated and juicy, Scallops is cooked in Italian style with cheese and I love it, dishes that consist of fish is slightly bland for my liking, but still edible, maybe elderly will love it.
Prawn Noodle is amazing, I love the soup base, so flavourful and not too oily. Pasta is acceptable however the penne and sauce doesn't blend well enough together, believe could be better, maybe the chef can cook penne in sauce rather than separating them up.
Seafood BBQ considered not bad, you can get to choose the seafood you want and have them to grill it for you, as usually Fish BBQ is still a little bland, the rest are pretty good and worth trying.
So after main course, I decided to go for Desserts.
I tried Mango Pudding, Red Velvet, Rainbow Cake, Chocolate fondue.
Personal opinion, I actually like the rainbow cake the most however the icing is a little too bland, believe it could be better. Mango pudding is pretty good too but maybe a little too sweet for me, but well it's desserts and well it should be sweet huh.
Saturday Morning Breakfast at Chatterz Breakfast line is filled with pastries, bread, ham and 2/3 lines of HongKong style Food such as Dimsum.
Chatterz Breakfast offer really good breakfast, I am super satisfied with it. Despite we went down for breakfast at 930 onwards, the food is still constantly replenish and ensure the next batch of guest have enough food.
Chatterz provide good quality choice of bread, especially those bread you see in the black display shelf, the bread is so crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. Pastries are pretty delicious too, I had so much croissant with ham and well it is really good for breakfast.
Apart from Pastries and Ham, I would highly recommend to try their Glutinous Rice, probably one of the best Glutinous Rice I ever had for buffet breakfast.
Overall Experience With Chatterz

Design & Environment are the dining area is usually really good however during Breakfast time the environment will be slightly noisy and packed as most guest will settle their breakfast over there.
Choice of Food/Taste: 3.5/5
They have pretty wide variation choice of food, from Chinese, English, Italian, Seafood and instagram worthy desserts, taste wise is really not bad and some dish is really good, and well if you compare the pricing I think it is worth the dollar.
Service: 4.5/5
I would totally give Chatterz Staff high service review, the moment you step into Chatterz you will feel so welcome. Staff are very attentive to your needs and request, during all my meals at Chatterz my cup is always filled with water on time and dirty plates are being cleared really fast and ensuring my table is clean and neat.
And generally I really have a great time dining at Chatterz, If I ever plan to go back to Malacca and Hatten will still be my choice.
