Tampopo Grand @ Ngee Ann City

The weather is turning cold, it's time for something warm and soupy.

This time round we check out Tampopo Grand At Ngee Ann City.

Whenever you mention the name "Tampopo", most people will compliment their Tonkatsu.

And yes, I agree with them, Tampopo Singapore do serve pretty good Tonkatsu.

Tampopo have a total of 2 outlets in Singapore, Ngee Ann City(Orchard) & Liang Court(Clark Quay). I believe most people had pass by the outlet in Ngee Ann City before as it is located along the stretch when you walk from Takashimaya to Ion/Wisma/Orchard MRT!

What you will notice is that during dinner hours it is always filled with people!

*Encourage to be there about before 7pm to avoid long queue.*

Tampopo is definitely a good choice for people like me who doesn't like to eat rice but like to try their popular Tonkatsu, because they have ramen that comes with Chicken/Pork Tonkatsu.

BEST OF BOTH WORLD! I love this so much!

Tampopo Tonkatsu Ramen, about SGD $17, where you get a full bowl ramen and Tonkatsu. Ramen broth is rich and tasty, the flavour of the soup is being well absorbed by the noodles. Tonkatsu is crispy, juicy and not too hard for my liking, I'm pretty satisfied and surprised, thumbsup!

Other than Ramen, Sashimi, Don, Tonkatsu, they also have special rice bowl(Which only have limited quantity per day, you got to catch them early before it runs out.)

Special rice bowl meat is well marinated and well portion for taste test.The only bad point is if only they have sauce for the rice bowl as there is only about 2/3 slices of pork so you might finish the pork before you finish the rice.

With the leftover rice, I actually took a spoonful of it and soak into my ramen broth and I swear it's damn good and because of this, I finished the entire bowl of ramen soup. I would totally go back again.
