Kajiken Singapore Mazesoba Dry Ramen

As you know, Fatty & I was a big fan of Ramen/Japanese Food.

Since the past few months, we have been exploring and clearing the list of Japanese Ramen that featured on WAttention Magazine.

The story goes in the way of Fatty & I was doing some betting on some social media thing and I lost the bet, so I have decided to treat him a meal and he decided to pick Kajiken from the magazine as we are around the corner of Tanjong Pagar.

Out of surprise, Kajiken is actually Singapore 1st Mazesoba Dry Ramen store.

Kajiken is considered a pretty small outlet which can estimate to fit less than 30 pax and the time where we visit them it was full and we waited for 5 minutes for seats and only managed to get the corner seat facing the wall.

Address:

1 Tras Link, Orchid Hotel #01-07, Singapore 078867

Nearest MRT: Tanjong Pagar

It is actually located at the stretch where filled with lots of popular Japanese Cuisine, Ramen store/Gyoza King store, just slightly further down a bit and you will find this gem.

They are really specialised in Mazesoba where the menu is only filled with 7 Choices for you to choose. We often believe restaurants that have lesser items on menu are usually good because they will be specialised and extremely good in that particular area because they do not need other cuisine/dishes to support their sales/profit. And yes, this is really good in our opinion.

Rules for Mazesoba, Mix the ingredients for at least 20 seconds upon the staff serve you to get the full flavour.

Mazesoba with Deep Fried Chicken, $13.80SGD

Deep Fried Chicken was super crispy and juicy, I had never have such well marinated and crispy chicken, this is super good, I swear my next visit I will add on this for side dishes. DAMN GOOD!

Charsiew, some parts of the meat is soft however some part is slightly dry and hard which is not so consistent for that, could be better I guess.

As this is Mazesoba, this dish will tends to be much more filling as compared to ramen. The portion is actually just nice for Soba however because I was too full and I didn't manage to finish it, but it is really good and flavourful.

Overall taste is really good for this pricing, one of kind and the only one Mazesoba.

Rate: 4/5 (portion about big for people who eat really little like me)

Super worth it for the price of $13.80, I don't mind going back once and Fatty love this dish so much. I believe we will be back, thank you for such great good and listed into our Ramen Story list.

Go check them out and let us know your views or share with if you have any good ramen for recommendations, we will be more than willing to check them out and do a taste test.
