[DIY] O Raindrop Cake

Have you heard of this O calories cake and the unique thing about this cake is that it is in transparent colour which looks like a raindrop.

YESYES, IT SHOULD BE RIGHT IN YOUR MIND, THE POPULAR JAPAN RAINDROP CAKE.

So recently I came by O Raindrop Cake who have invented a DIY cake kit for everyone who is interested to make this raindrop cake by their own. In collaboration with @O_Raindrop , they send me the DIY kit for me to try and I swear I had so much fun.

It is pretty easy to be done and it is so fulfilling doing it yourself. <3

This is what DIY Kit consist of, 2 Display Boat with Spoon, 2 Cake Mould, Kinako Powder, Japanese Agar Powder, Gula Melaka Sauce & Step by Step Instruction card.

Step 1: Add Japanese Agar Powder into 600ml water, boil the water and keep stirring the mixture till it boil fully.

Step 2: Turn Off the fire and transfer to another bowl to cool down the mixture.

Step 3: After cooling down, usually take about 30 mins?

Use a funnel or depends on how you want to transfer the mixture into the cake mould, fill only 3/4 full. *I actually use a spoon to scoop the mixture and slowly pour the mixture in, cause I have no funnel over here.*

Cover the lid of the mould and place it inside the fridge to chill, estimate about few hours you can check on it. Remove from fridge and open from the middle part of the mould and transfer into the display boat.

TAAAADAAAAAA, You can totally see the cake so wobbly/jellish, so fun.

Then add the Gula Melaka sauce & Kinako Powder. I didnt add the powder because I don't fancy the the powder, i think just with Gula Melaka sauce it taste good enough. Yummy.
