[Food] Soi 51 Mookata

I love Thai Food especially Pad Thai, Prawn Cake, Tom Yum Soup, Mango Sticky Rice and not forgetting the best choice of food when it comes to group gathering "MOOKATA"

Mookata is the term for Thai BBQ Steamboat, Mookata got really famous in Singapore probably 2-3 years ago and now it is so well known and outlets and brands are spreading over the entire Singapore.

Just last weekend together with Fatty & my siblings we visited Soi 51 Mookata, have been craving for Mookata for so long and finally we did it. Thank you Soi 51!

Soi 51 very first outlet started at 51 Guillemard Road where they just celebrated their one year anniversary at that outlet recently however due to the increase in rental they have to move out from that space in October and reducing from 4 outlets (North South East West) to left with 3 other outlets at Boon Lay Place, Yishun & Toa Payoh Estate.

Soi 51's owner started all outlet around the HDB estate which hope everyone have a try of their food near their house, and most importantly they have really affordable cost for Buffet $22/Adult & $12/Children(Below 1.2m) and they have close to 60 different types of food for the buffet menu. IT IS DEFINITELY A STEAL MAN!

So all of us visited the outlet at Toa Payoh, it is located at Toa Payoh Industrial Park Coffee shop which have 30-50 tables over there so don't have to be afraid if you don't get a table and so.

Look at the long list of food that you get to choose for Buffet Menu, and as spoken to the boss I think they are working on new dishes too, example like "Salted Egg Pork" <3 The boss is really nice, he offered us to try his new invention and ask us for comments.

So we decided to try bit of everything so we ordered the meat and seafood and do taste test.

Prawns, Scallop, Fish Fillet, Spicy Chicken, Garlic Chicken, Black Pepper Chicken, Pork Belly & Black Pepper Beef.

Both thai chili is good for my liking, one slightly sweeter and another much spicy. I love the sweeter version chili, Slurpslurp.

So all of us was so hungry and started flipping and cooking all the food. Look at the amount of food we ordered and we cooked, so many choices given to us. SO LUCKY, <3

So after trying so much dishes, taste test comments.

Seafood: Prawns, Scallop, Bamboo Clam, Fish Fillet

All seafood that we ordered are fresh and nice, other than Fish fillet is a little too bland for our liking the rest of the seafood is good enough for this price and I would say it is so much better than what I expected for freshness. I personally love their prawns, the very first time where I had 5 prawns at one go. So fresh and juicy. <3

Marinated Meat: Black Pepper Chicken/Beef, Garlic Chicken/Pork, Pork Belly, Spicy Chicken...

Personal favourite is their black pepper chicken, spicy chicken and pork belly, all of these are super delicious and well marinated.

Garlic chicken/pork is slightly lighter in taste but still acceptable, black pepper beef is a little small in pieces, it could be better if they are not so separated and small in pieces but for taste wise it is still well marinated in terms of amount of pepper used. *Thumbsup*

Not forgetting, they have special dish where you don't get to find outside. Shiitake Mushroom With Mince Pork & Pork Belly With Enoki, I would say this two dish is the must order and also the highlights of what they have which other Mookata don't serve.
