[Food] Ramen Champion - Tonkotsu Ikkyu
Have been exploring and trying great Ramen in Singapore, I am a super big fan of soup food especially Japanese Ramen, totally my comfort food. <3 Recently found this new Gem which serve super super super good Ramen and best of all it is affordable ramen and super worth the hype.
Have visited Ramen Champion for more than 2-3 times however I had never visit this particular store till it got featured on Wattention Magazine, So Fatty & I decided to check out this ramen and see if it is worth the value and hype.
Tonkotsu Ikkyu is run by one Japanese Cook/Chef which serve really good Tonkotsu based ramen. The usual ramen that I usually visited cost about $15 and above and till $18 without Seafood. However Tonkotsu Ikkyu's standard Tonkotsu Ramen only cost $14 and it is with 4pcs of meat in the ramen, this is so worth it!
Set Meal with Tonkotsu Ramen & Teriyaki Chicken Rice set only cost $16, this is so far the cheapest ramen set I had tried and it taste super awesome.
People who often ask me to introduce food I usually would recommend them to try Suntec Menya Takeichi however I would say Tonkotsu Ikkyu is as good as Menya Takechi and even much more affordable. I would so go for this one more time and even more, i really love this, it is also the first time I finished my entire bowl of noodle and soup.

Tonkotsu Ramen soup looks thick and oily however the taste of the soup is really light and rich taste of collagen, you would totally slurp the soup one mouth and one mouth without stopping it, it is irresistible. The choice of noodles is also well picked, it pairs well with the soup and adding a little black fungus to add extra texture and crunch to that one mouth food taste test.
The meat from the ramen was really so soft and tender, this is totally a 9/10 rating perfect bowl of ramen.
As for Teriyaki Rice, it is acceptable but definitely not the best I have tired but it is soft and well marinated but I think if there is more sauce with the rice it will be even better. I love the ramen soup so much till I scoop a little rice from the bowl and soak it with the soup, indeed heavenly. <3
I SWEAR THIS IS FREAKING AWESOME AND WORTH IT, YOU SHOULD SO TRY THIS.
